NASHI is an entirely volunteer run non-profit organization who is addressing the issue of human trafficking locally and globally. We will be celebrating our 20th Anniversary in 2024 and have built a solid reputation for hard work, action and accountability.
Human Trafficking is one of the greatest challenges of this century around the world. It is even happening in our backyards. Girls as young as 5 years old are taken into the sex trade and can be bought for $90. 37 million people are living as slaves today – the population of Canada.
NASHI believes in a 2-fold approach to human trafficking:
- Raising awareness by organizing and participating in conferences in Canada and global events regarding human trafficking and,
- Operating a home for at risk girls in Ukraine called the Maple Leaf House. The safehouse is currently home to 17 girls. We have prevented them from entering into the global human trafficking as some of them would have been sold. We have also made a commitment to them that we will be looking after all their needs in the safehouse and we will be educating them until they are employable.. We now have 2 girls, who have been with us since they were 8 years old, enrolled in post secondary colleges.
With the crisis in Ukraine, we quickly moved our girls to a safehouse in Poland, where they are attending school and safe from predators. NASHI may be a small organization but we are making a huge difference in the lives of our girls. Your contribution to GO THE DISTANCE will provide education and all our girls needs in our safehouse. Many of these girls were either from orphanages where they were being groomed to enter the sex trade or were found on the streets ready to be sold. Tackling as issue as big as modern slavery can sometimes feel overwhelming but we can all take even a small step for the future of the girls

Please support Fr. Ivan as he take his journey towards helping this cause and he takes his steps to combat this travesty of the 21st Century. NASHI has a motto: DO SOMETHING.

STREAM OF HOPES – ПОТІЧОК НАДІЙ

As you may have seen in the news, Russia invaded Ukraine and declared war on February 24, 2022. Days later and Russia continues its vicious attacks against Ukrainian people and many cities across Ukraine. Humanitarian catastrophe and a genocide of Ukrainian people is happening in Ukraine right now. People have lost everything they had and are either fighting in the war or fleeing for safety.
Stream of Hopes is working on two fronts:
· Starting a drive for a select number of humanitarian donations
· Starting to raise funds to send to orphans, to send to the volunteers in the army and to help with shipment of humanitarian aid into Ukraine.

Go The Distance for Ukrainian Patriot: A Call to Support Humanitarian Efforts in Ukraine
In the heart of the conflict, a group of individuals from all over the world have come together to bring hope. As an organization committed to supporting the defenders and providing critical humanitarian and medical assistance amid ongoing conflicts, Ukrainian Patriot is committed to bringing love, light, hope, and connection into the dark shadows of war.
Who is Ukrainian Patriot?
Ukrainian Patriot was founded by Lana Niland at the beginning of the war in Ukraine. From its inception, Ukrainian Patriot has been a team of Ukrainians and internationals who have been at the forefront meeting the urgent needs of the civilians caught in the crossfire and the defenders of Ukraine. Through a history marked by dedication and remarkable achievements, including the delivery of life-saving equipment to front-line defenders and the evacuation of civilians in war zones, Ukrainian Patriot exemplifies the strength found in unified action. Their values—courage, compassion, and commitment—are reflected in every initiative, making tangible differences in the lives of many.
Why donate to “Go The Distance” to support Ukrainian Patriot?
Your generous contributions to Go The Distance will directly empower Ukrainian Patriot to continue their mission responding to the most urgent needs. Funding is crucial for sustaining and initiating projects such as the provision of essential medical supplies and support to defenders and affected civilians, the provision of food, hygiene supplies, clean water, cleaning supplies, clothing, and more wherever there is urgent need, protective gear for the defenders, PTSD and mental health support, and rebuilding assistance.
Donations gathered through this fundraiser will not only enable Ukrainian Patriot to continue their invaluable work but also amplify their capacity to respond to emerging needs.
Your support means hope, resilience, and strength for those who need it most. Make a difference today by contributing to Go The Distance.
Gratitude and Recognition
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the organizers of Go The Distance, especially Rev. Ivan Nahachewsky, for their unwavering support and recognition of Ukrainian Patriot’s efforts. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to the preservation of Ukraine’s sovereignty. We also extend our gratitude to the other Ukrainian causes that stand with us in this fundraiser, each playing a critical role in the journey towards peace and stability.
